10.2.1 0% (zero percent) tax on all sports bets, including multiples made up solely of sports bets;
10.2.2 6% (six percent) tax on winnings of any horseracing bets (including multiples of horseracing bets). Please note that this 6% (six percent) tax is made up of 3% (three percent) betting tax and a 3% (three percent) horse racing levy; and
10.2.3 6% (six percent) tax on winnings of any multiple which includes a horseracing bet as part of the multiple.
10.3 Any potential tax payable will also be displayed in the ″Open Bets″ section of your account and all tax deducted on applicable winning bets will be shown in the ″Bet History″ section of your account.
11.1 Bets are settled to Win unless Each Way is selected. An Each Way bet is a bet of twice the selected unit stake. It contains one bet of unit stake on the selection to Win and one bet of unit stake on the selection to Place according to the terms advertised for the event.
For example: R10 Each Way on Tiger Woods to win the US Masters (R20 staked).
Win Odds: 8/1, Place terms 1/4 odds a place 1,2,3,4
If Tiger wins, both Win and Place bets are winners;
R10 @8/1 = 90 ZAR (including stake) plus R10 @ 2/1 (i.e. 8 x 1/4) = 30 ZAR
Total Returns = R120.
If Tiger finishes 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Total Returns = R30.
11.2 Settlement will be based on the odds and Place terms applicable when the bet is accepted. Sportingbet reserves the right to alter the Place terms for Each Way betting before or during any event or market.
11.3 For the purpose of calculation, Each Way Doubles, Trebles etc. are settled as two distinct bets, i.e. Win on to Win and Place onto Place.
11.4 Place bets are not accepted unless an equal amount is invested to Win. Any Place stake inadvertently accepted in excess of the Win stake will be void. Place−only bets may be accepted on some Pari−Mutuel Markets and any markets specifically set−up to take such bets.
11.5 In a Dead Heat the stake money on a selection is divided by the number of runners involved in the Dead Heat. The full odds are then paid to the divided stake, with the remainder of the money lost.
11.6 Where a selection is made void, then for single bets the stake will be returned. Bets on selections that do not run for whatever reason may or may not be returned depending on the rules for the individual sport or event. In accumulative bets the stake will run on to the remaining selections with a Double becoming a Single, a Treble becoming a Double and so on.
11.7 The official result is final for settlement purposes except where specific rules state the contrary. Subsequent changes in results, whether due to disciplinary hearings or otherwise are disregarded. Where in the reasonable judgement of Sportingbet no official result is available, the result will be determined by an independent authority of Sportingbet's choosing whose verdict shall be final for all purposes, or otherwise determined in the reasonable opinion of Sportingbet with such opinion to be formed by reference to all reasonably available evidence.
11.8 Bets will provisionally be settled by reference to all available evidence, but if the result which is determined as set out above differs from the result used for provisional settlement, settlement may be retrospectively adjusted so as to reflect the result so determined.
11.9 Final settlement of bets will occur when Sportingbet considers that the final result and settlement has been completed satisfactorily with reference to all available evidence.
12.1 Multiple bets that combine different selections within the same event are not accepted where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.
For example, in a Football match involving Manchester United, two selections may be:
Manchester United to win 2−0 and
Manchester United's Wayne Rooney to be scorer of the first match goal.
The bets are related as Wayne Rooney's goal−scoring performance would influence Manchester United winning the match 2−0. A double combining the above selections is not possible using their market prices.
Special prices may be offered for the combined eventuality. When a special price is not available and such a bet is taken in error, it will be settled as two single bets with the stake equally divided.
12.2 Multiple bets that combine selections that are resolved at different times but still within the same tournament. These bets will be settled as instructed with the price of the second or subsequent selection being determined at each individual stage.
For example, in a Tennis tournament two selections may be:
Roger Federer to win the semi−final of Wimbledon and
Roger Federer to win the Wimbledon tournament outright.
As the odds of the second selection depends on the outcome of the first, the odds of Roger Federer winning the tournament at the time the bet was accepted cannot be used to calculate the double odds. The correct odds after the initial selection is completed will be attributed instead.
12.3 Multiple bets that combine selections within different events where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.
For example, two Horse Racing selections may be:
Septimus to win the Dante Stakes and
Septimus to win the Epsom Derby.
As the odds of Septimus to win the Epsom Derby depends on whether he wins the Dante Stakes (a recognised Derby trial), the odds for Septimus to win the Epsom Derby at the time the bet was accepted cannot be used to calculate the double odds. A special price to win both races may be quoted instead.
12.4 In the case of all multiples including selections with related outcomes, if a bet is taken inadvertently Sportingbet reserves the right to void part of or the whole of the bet.
13.1 A Dead Heat occurs where two or more participants in an event tie for first and second place.
In the event of two selections having a Dead Heat, the customer's stake is split with half the stake applied to the winning selection and the other half lost. With more than two selections, the stake is split proportionately.
14.1 Ante post bets are those placed at prices on named selections taking part in an event before it has started.
Bets are accepted 'all in, run or not, entered or not', which means that should your selection fail to take part in an event, the bet is a loser unless our rules for an individual sport specifically state otherwise.
In all cases we reserve the right to impose a Rule 4 to reflect returning stakes on selections that do not take part.
15.1 All prices are subject to fluctuation at all times and without notice.
16.1 All bets selected with pre−match prices taken from Sportingbet will be accepted up until the start time displayed on the website.
16.2 If a bet is accepted which includes a match that has already started and we are not offering prices In Play, that selection will be void.
16.3 If we are offering prices In Play on the match, the selection will accepted at the current price quoted.
17.1 Sportingbet makes every attempt to establish a fair assessment of events that transpire during an In Play match on a good faith basis with reference to the TV broadcaster's coverage.
Situations may arise where it is not possible to categorically state what has happened. In the event that a matter requires closer examination, or the TV broadcaster's coverage is interrupted or fails to start on time for whatever reason, or there is a technical failure in the trading facilities available to Sportingbet's traders, we reserve the right to withhold settlement pending further investigation or to void bets.
17.2 If there is no further activity in an event following the acceptance of an In Play bet, these bets will be made void, unless specific sports rules state otherwise.
17.3 If it transpires that the TV broadcaster misses one or more events during a match or we settle a bet incorrectly, we reserve the right to make both positive and negative retrospective adjustments to accounts.
17.4 We rely on the decisions of the officials acting during the course of the game, match or tournament and these decisions shall be final regardless of whether they are subsequently overturned by appeal or otherwise.
17.5 All scoring information and streaming of TV pictures on the site is for display purposes only and is not used as a basis for settlement. Sportingbet accepts no responsibility for the correctness and timeliness of this information and only settles bets according to the official scores, actions and timings of the event.
In the event of any disqualification, the medals ceremony

In the absence of a medal ceremony, all bets will settled as first past the
finishing line.

bets are settled as a Correct Score single.
If a match is abandoned prior to the completion of 90 Minutes?Play and a goal
has been scored, combination bets revert to First Goalscorer singles. If no goal
has been scored then all bets are void.
Winning bets must predict the result at Half Time.
In the event of the match being abandoned before Half Time, all bets will be
void. Bets will stand for matches abandoned after Half Time has been reached.
Winning bets must select the total number of goals scored in the match in Normal Time. Where a Total Goals market is offered on a group of matches, two goals shall be allocated to a postponed or abandoned match, regardless of how many goals had been scored in the match at the time of postponement/abandonment. If two or more matches are postponed or abandoned in the same market then all bets will be void.
Winning bets must predict whether the total number of goals is under or over the quoted level in Normal Time.
Winning bets must predict which half has most goals scored by either team in Normal Time.
Winning bets must predict which team wins the match in Normal
Time.
In the event of a Draw, bets are void.

Winning bets must predict the winner of the match at the end of Normal Time after the final score has been adjusted by the handicap.
Winning bets must predict the team to score the first goal in
Normal Time.
Own goals count to the side credited with the goal.
Bets will be void if 90 Minutes' Play is not completed, unless the first goal
has already been scored.
Winning bets must predict the team to score the last goal in
Normal Time. Own goals count to the side credited with the goal.
Bets will be void if 90 Minutes' Play is not completed.
Winning bets must select the time band (e.g. 21−30 minutes)
within which the first goal, first goal of a particular team or next goal is
scored. The winning time band will be settled as the time shown by the TV
broadcaster covering the match.
If a goal is scored when 19 minutes, 5 seconds have elapsed on the clock, the
winning time will be settled as being in the 20th minute.
If a match is abandoned before the first goal is scored, all bets placed on the
first goal being scored in that time band up to but not including the time of
abandonment are lost. For example, if the match is abandoned after 25 minutes,
bets placed on time bands 1−10 and 11−20 are losers.
If a match is abandoned after the first goal has been scored all bets stand.
In the event of any dispute, settlement will refer to the TV broadcaster
covering the match. If the game is being covered by more than one television
station and the stations disagree, or if the match is not televised at all, the
determination of the UK Press Association will be used.
Winning bets must select whether or not there will be a one
or more goals, corners or cards in a listed time band.
The winning time band will be settled as the time shown by the TV broadcaster
covering the match.
If a goal is scored when 19 minutes and 5 seconds have elapsed on the clock, the
goal will be considered to have been scored in the 20th minute.
If a bet is placed on an event to occur between the 41st and 50th Minute and the
event occurs at 46:15 in the first half, the bet is considered a winner. If a
bet is placed on an event to occur between the 80th and 90th Minute and the
event occurs at 90:05 in the second half, the bet is considered to be a winner.
For the purposes of this bet, a goal is considered to have happened when it is
scored; a corner is considered to have happened when it is TAKEN (not when it is
awarded); and a card is considered to have happened when it is shown.
If a match is abandoned during any of these time bands, all bets placed will be
void, unless the bet has already been settled.
In the event of any dispute, settlement will refer to the TV broadcaster
covering the match. If the game is being covered by more than one television
station and the stations disagree, or if the match is not televised at all, the
determination of the UK Press Association will be used.
Goal times are recorded as the full minute that they are
scored in according to the TV broadcaster's coverage of the match.
For example, a goal scored after 0 minutes and 20 seconds will be recorded as
the 1st Minute. A goal scored after 83 minutes and 2 seconds will be recorded as
the 84th Minute. Any goal scored in injury or stoppage time in the 1st Half will
be recorded as the 45th Minute. Any goal scored in injury or stoppage time in
the 2nd Half will be recorded as the 90th Minute.
Winning bets must select the number of corners taken either
as exact amounts (e.g....8 corners) or in bands (e.g. 12−14 corners) in Normal
Time.
Corners that are awarded but are prevented from being taken for whatever reason
do not count. Settlement will be made with reference to all available evidence.
In the event of a match being abandoned before Half Time, all bets will be void.
If the match is abandoned before the end of Normal Time, all bets other than
those for
'Corners in 1st Half' will be void.
Winning bets select the total bookings' points in bands
(e.g....45−50). Ten points are awarded for a yellow card and 25 points for a red
card.
The maximum points per player per match is 35 (25+10), regardless of whether the
player is shown two yellow cards and then a red card. Settlement will be made
with reference to all available evidence and will be made with reference to
cards shown up until the end of Normal Time.
Any card shown after the end of Normal Time whistle has been blown will be
disregarded.
Markets involving the incidence of cards shown to players during an individual
match are traded and settled by reference to all available evidence but are
settled on the official result when available from the football authority
responsible for organising the match. Cards shown to non−players
(e.g....managers or substitutes who play no subsequent part in the game) do not
count towards the total.
Winning bets select the aggregate of the shirt numbers of the
goal scorers in a match or matches in Normal Time.
If any goal is an own goal, the shirt number of the scorer of the own goal will
be counted. The points will count towards the aggregate of the side that is
credited with the goal. NOTE: this is different to the ruling for 'First Player
to Score'.
In the event of uncertainty about who scored a goal, the opinion of the TV
broadcaster covering the game will be used. If the game is covered by more than
one TV station and they disagree about the scorer, or if the game is not
televised live, settlement will be determined by the UK Press Association.
For the purposes of any bet about shirt numbers, a player will be deemed to wear
throughout the game the shirt worn at the start of play (or, in the case of a
substitute, when he comes on to the pitch). Any player whose shirt bears no
number on his first joining the field of play will be allocated number 12.
Winning bets select the team to score the next goal up until the end of Normal Time. Own goals count to the side credited with the goal. Bets will be void if 90 Minutes' Play is not completed, unless the bet has already been settled.
Throw−ins are deemed to have happened once the throw−in has
been taken even if the throw−in is a foul throw−in. In the event of a foul
throw−in, the foul throw−in and the subsequent throw−in taken by the opposing
team are considered to have taken place.
If a throw−in is awarded to a team but this team is prevented from taking the
throw−in for whatever reason, then this throw−in has not been taken and is not
counted as a throw−in. Bets on the next throw in that are not settled at Half
Time shall carry over and be settled in the second half up until the end of
Normal Time.
Bets on the next throw in will be voided at the end of Normal Time if a throw in
has not occurred.
In Extra Time, a new bet on the next throw in will be offered. Bets on the next
throw in that are not settled at the end of the 1st half of extra time shall
carry over and be settled in the 2nd half of extra time. Bets on the next throw
in will be voided if a golden/silver goal is scored and no throw in has
occurred. Bets on the next throw in will be voided at the end of the 2nd half of
extra time if a throw in has not occurred.
A 'kick' is deemed to have happened only once it has been
taken. If a 'kick' is ordered to be taken again then only the retaken 'kick'
counts.
If a 'kick' is awarded to a team but this team is prevented from taking it for
whatever reason, this 'kick' has not been taken and is not counted.
Bets on the next 'kick' that are not settled at Half Time shall carry over and
be settled in the second half up until the end of Normal Time. Bets on the next
'kick' will be voided at the end of Normal Time if a 'kick' has not occurred.
In Extra Time, a new bet on the next 'kick' will be offered. Bets on the next
'kick' that are not settled at the end of the 1st half of extra time shall carry
over and be settled in the 2nd half of extra time.
Bets on the next 'kick' will be voided if a golden/silver goal is scored and no
'kick' has occurred. Bets on the next 'kick' will be voided at the end of the
2nd half of extra time if a 'kick' has not occurred.
Yellow cards or red cards will only count when shown to
players up until the end of Normal Time and any shown after the full−time
whistle do not count.
In the event that two or more players receive a yellow card or red card for
being involved in the same incident, the player of the team shown the first card
is deemed to have been given the next of first card. Players may receive a
maximum of two cards per game. A second yellow card that results in a red card
counts only as one card for the purposes of counting the number of cards.
In the event that a goalkeeper blocks the penalty and/or it rebounds into play from the post(s) and/or crossbar, and a player scores from the rebound, this is not considered a goal scored from the penalty (even if the goalscorer is the same player as took the penalty kick). The goal is instead considered a goal scored in open play and is recorded as such. If the ball hits the goalpost then the goalkeeper and crosses the line it is considered a goal. If a penalty is ordered to be re−taken then all bets placed on the markets, the result of the original penalty is void and all bets will stand on the retaken penalty.Penalty not scored 'saved', if Goalkeeper touches the ball directly from the Penalty. Penalty not scored 'hit woodwork', if ball directly hits the woodwork from the Penalty. Penalty not scored 'miss target' if ball goes dead without another player touching the ball or the woodwork being hit. In the case of a penalty being awarded then cancelled your bet stands to the end of the match. If no penalty is awarded the bet is void, if a penalty is awarded then (even if its awarded for the other team) the bet is settled on that penalty being scored or not scored.
Where a goal supremacy market is offered on a group of matches (e.g. a home goals versus away goals market), if one or more matches are abandoned then all bets on that market will be void.
Where there are prices quoted for a team to win a match 'Outright' as well as in '90 Minutes' Play', such as in cup tournaments, all bets will be settled on '90 Minutes' Play' unless the 'Outright' price or the 'Qualifying Outright' price has been selected.
In divisional betting, the finishing positions of the teams
at the end of the scheduled program of matches will determine the placings with
no allowance for play−offs or subsequent enquiries resulting in points
deductions by the respective leagues.
If any team has points deducted during the season from its total attained on the
field of play, the deduction will be included in its final total. However, if
any deduction is made after all the games in that division have been completed,
it will have no effect on the final total.
Winning bets must predict the team winning the division based
on the application of the handicap.
At least one team in each division will start from scratch and all other teams
in the division will be awarded a set number of points (or handicap start).
Final placings will be determined by adding the points awarded to each team to
the total number of points accumulated over the season.
Bets must be placed prior to the start of the season and Dead Heat rules apply
to teams level on points. Goal difference does not count.
Winning bets must select a player to score at any time in a
match up in Normal Time. Own goals do not count for the purposes of this market.
Bets will be void if the player does not start at any time in Normal Time. All
players who take part in the match will be considered as Runners.
Winning bets must indicate the team in the stated
Competition/League who score in the minimum elapsed time in Normal Time. Own
goals count to the side credited with the goal for settlement purposes.
If a goal is scored in injury or stoppage time at the end of the first half,
this will be deemed to have been scored in the 45th minute. If a goal is scored
in injury or stoppage time, this will be deemed to have been scored in the 90th
minute. Dead Heat rules apply to this bet.
If a match is abandoned after the first goal in a Competition/League has been
scored, all bets stand. If any match is abandoned before the first goal in
Competition/League has been scored, all bets will be void. If any match fails to
take place on the date advertised on the Sportingbet website, all bets on this
market will be void. All bets are void if two or more of the matches listed are
postponed.
In the event of any dispute settlement will use the opinion of the TV
broadcaster covering the game. If more than one TV broadcaster is covering the
game and there is disagreement as to who scored, or if the match is not
televised at all, the determination of the UK Press Association will be used.
Winning bets must indicate the player in the stated
Competition/League who scores in the minimum elapsed time in Normal Time. Own
goals do not count for settlement purposes.

If a match is abandoned during any of these time bands, all bets placed will be void, unless the bet has already been settled.
In the event of any dispute, settlement will refer to the TV broadcaster covering the match. If the game is being covered by more than one television station and the stations disagree, or if the match is not televised at all, the determination of the UK Press Association will be used.

In the event of a tournament being shortened or otherwise
affected due to weather conditions, all bets, other than those placed after the
last completed round, will stand provided at least 36 holes have been played and
a trophy has been awarded. Those placed after the last completed round will be
void.
This does not apply when a tournament is played on more than one course, and in
this instance all players must have played the same rotation, otherwise all bets
will be void.
In the event of a tournament being postponed, rearranged or moved to a different course, all bets will stand.
Winning bets must predict the winner of the tournament.
If a playoff is required to determine the tournament winner, the winner of the
playoff is deemed the tournament winner.
In the event of a shared win, Sportingbet reserves the right to settle as it sees
fit based on all available evidence.
Dead Heat rules apply for all placings in a tournament. For example, if the
each−way terms are for four places and three players tie for third, they will be
deemed to have dead−heated for third, four and fifth places, with 1/3 of the
stake lost and 2/3 of the stake settled at full place odds for an each−way bet
on those players.
Winning bets must select the player with the lowest score at
the end of the tournament, provided that 36 holes have been played in a 82−hole
tournament or 54 holes have been played in a 90−hole tournament.

players have made the cut, the other player is deemed the winner (even if the
other player does not make the cut).
If a player is disqualified or withdraws in the rounds after the cut, when
his/her opponent has already missed the cut, the disqualified player is deemed
the winner.
If both players withdraw or are disqualified before the cut all bets are void.
The same applies if this happens to them both after they have made the cut.
Winning bets must predict the player with the lowest score
over 18/36 holes.

to bets on the other players in the group in line with Rule 4. All players who

Any bets struck ″with a run″ after the official announcement of the withdrawal of one of or more horses/contestants shall not be subject to any adjustment unless there are further withdrawals.
Should two horses/contestants be withdrawn simultaneously and both are subject to a deduction on any winning bets, the deductions shall be applied separately and not simultaneously.
Deductions shall not apply to starting price bets, unless a late withdrawal(s) occurs″.
Bets will be void on horse races (excluding Ante Post races)
where a runner is withdrawn or adjudged not to have started and declared a
Non−Runner by the starter.
Bets placed at Special Day of Race Prices or Early Prices, prior to the
withdrawal, will be subject to a Rule 4 and will be determined by the Sportingbet
price of the withdrawn horse at the time the bet was accepted.
Show Price bets placed prior to withdrawal will also be subject to a Rule 4
deduction − dependent on the Non−Runner's price at the time it was withdrawn, as
provided by SIS. In reformed markets, the total deduction on the two or more
horses − one in the original market and one in the reformed market − will be
calculated on the prices applicable in the original market.
Bets on horses in subsequent markets that then have one or more withdrawn horses
will have a deduction calculated on the prices applicable to that market at the
time of the withdrawal.
In the event that there is insufficient time to form a new market on the race,
SP bets may also be subject to a Rule 4.
In the event of a race being re−run due to a false start or
any other reason, bets will be void on horses taking no part in the re−run.
Returns on the remaining runners will be subject to a Rule 4 deduction and place
terms will be governed by the number of runners taking part in the re−run.
In the event of a walkover or void race, bets will be void.
If a race meeting is postponed to another day and overnight declarations stand
(i.e. the race is not reopened) then all bets stand. If the overnight
declarations do not stand, all bets will be void.
All bets selected with pre−race prices taken from Sportingbet
will be accepted up until the official 'Off'.
Where the official 'Off' is not announced, bets are accepted up until the
advertised start of the race as displayed on the website.
Special Day of Race Prices may be offered for certain horse
events as advertised and will be available up to the time stated (usually 15
minutes before the advertised off time of the race).
If a Special Day of Race Price is laid inadvertently after this time it will
stand if there has not been a show transmitted from the course. All Special Day
of Race Prices are subject to fluctuation and therefore prices offered may
differ from those originally displayed on the Sportingbet website or published in
the press.
Should a Horse be withdrawn not under orders in a Special Day of Race race,
stakes on that selection will be returned with bets on other runners in the race
subject to a Rule 4 based on the price of the withdrawn horse at the time the
bet was placed.
Bets nominating the favourite are acceptable where available
on certain horse races at SP only.
The favourite is the selection returned at the shortest odds. When the favourite
is nominated and two or more runners start at the shortest odds, then stakes are
equally divided over the joint favourites. For example, where two are returned
at the shortest odds, then these two are joint first and second favourites and
the next shortest price runner is the third favourite.
Bets will be void on single favourite bets where the return, regardless of the
result, is less than the original stake (including any deductions). This would
occur, for example, if there were 3/1 co−favourites of four. On horse racing,
bets are accepted for first favourite and Win only. We do not accept bets on
second or third favourite.
In countries where there is no SP market in operation, bets may be accepted at Pari−Mutuel returns for the following, where stated.
Horses in the same ownership are generally coupled in the
'Win pool' only. However in some countries (e.g. the
Where a bet is offered for more than one named selection to
win at a special combined price, the price is subject to fluctuation as are all
Special Day of Race Prices.
Rule 4 may be applied to all Special bets if there are any Non−Runners in the
races concerned.
If any of the named selections are Non−Runners or the race is declared void, the
bet reduces to the next level multiple at SP. For example, if a Special Treble
contains a Non−Runner the bet reverts to an SP double etc.
Winning bets must predict whether the named jockey will ride
multiple winners.
In the event of the named jockey not riding a published mount for any reason,
that leg of the multiple will be disregarded and the bet will be settled as the
next lowest multiple on the remaining legs at SP. For example a treble will
become a double.
If there is a Non−Runner that is not the Jockey's Mount in any leg then Rule 4
will be applied with the Special Price subject to a reduction and bets will be
settled at the new price. If, in the above instances where the jockey's mount is
offered 'Place Only' in any leg, that leg will be settled for a Place at the
appropriate Starting Price place terms.
Winning bets must predict how many of the specified
eventualities will occur such as 'How many favourites will win at
In the event of any races not being run for whatever reason all bets will be
void.
Winning bets must predict which of the nominated jockeys will
ride the most winners at a specified meeting or meetings.
Dead Heat rules will apply where challenges are offered between three or more
jockeys. In a two−jockey challenge a price will be offered for the 'Tie'.
If for any reason a nominated jockey does not ride his intended mount in a race,
but the horse still runs, the horse still counts for settlement as if it had
been ridden by the 'intended' jockey.
The intended mount will be taken to be the horses published in the Racing Post
on the day of the race, to be ridden by the jockey concerned. If the jockey
rides any horse which, according to the day's Racing Post he was not scheduled
to ride, that ride does not count towards the challenge.
Winning bets must predict the level of jockey performance
based on a defined points' scoring system.
25 points are awarded for a winner, 10 points for a runner up and 5 points for a
third. Dead Heat rules apply, so if a jockey's mount dead heats for first 18.5
points are awarded (i.e. 25 points+10 points divided by 2).
Markets may take two forms based on the scoring system.
Points' Bands − for example, A P McCoy may be offered at
5/1 to score between 35−40 points at
Over/Under − for example, Frankie Dettori may be offered at 6/4 to score under
40 points at
If for any reason the jockey on whom the bet was made does
not ride his intended mount in a race, but the horse still runs, then for
settlement purposes the horse still counts as if it had been ridden by the
'intended' jockey.
The intended mounts will be taken to be the horses published in the Racing Post
on the day of the race, to be ridden by the jockey concerned. If the jockey
rides any horse which, according to the day's Racing Post he was not scheduled
to ride, that ride does not count for the purposes of performance bets on that
jockey.
If the jockey has a Non−Runner then, if no betting show has been passed by SIS,
the SP forecast for that horse given by the Racing Post will be determine how
points are awarded:
Equal to or greater than 5/1 = 5 points
Less than 5/1 but greater than Evens = 10 points
Evens or less = 15 points
If a betting show has been passed by SIS, then points will be awarded as above according to the horse's price at the time of withdrawal. If a race is declared void the jockey's mount will be considered a Non−Runner. If a jockey's mount is made a walkover by way of others withdrawing, 20 points will be awarded to the total. If no price is available for a points' total then Dead Heat rules apply.
Winning bets must predict who will be the jockey riding the
most winners over the course of a meeting or festival.
For the purposes of this bet, bets are accepted 'All In, Run or Not'. For
settlement purposes the result will be determined by who lifts the trophy at the
end of the festival and will not be affected by any subsequent enquiries,
disqualifications or alterations.
Winning bets must predict which of the two nominated meetings
will have the most winning favourites.
Dead Heat rules apply for Favourites' Challenges where three or more meetings
are nominated. Where only two meetings are nominated a price will offered for
the 'Tie'.
If there are joint or co−favourites in a race, the horse with the lowest race
card number is considered for the purposes of the bet to be the favourite.
In the event of no SP being returned, the favourite will be deemed to be the
shortest price horse in the Racing Post betting forecast to come under starter's
orders. If the returned favourite (as published in the following day's Racing
Post) does not come under starter's orders then, for the purposes of the bet it
is considered to be a runner.
Winning bets must predict the level of favourites'
performance based on a defined points' scoring system.
25 points are awarded for a winner, 10 points for a runner−up and 5 points for a
third. Dead Heat rules apply so if a trainer's horse dead−heats for first 18.5
points are awarded (i.e. 25 points + 10 points divided by 2).
Markets may take two forms based on the scoring system.
Points' Bands − for example, Favourites may be offered at 5/1

If there are joint or co−favourites in a race, the horse with the lowest race card number is considered for the purposes of the bet to be the favourite. If the returned favourite (as published in the following day's Racing Post) has not come 'under starter's orders' then, for the purposes of the bet, points will be awarded as follows based on its price at the time of withdrawal:
Equal to or greater than 5/1 = 5 points
Less than 5/1 but greater than Evens = 10 points
Evens or less = 15 points
In the event of no SP being returned the favourite will be
deemed to be the shortest price horse in the Racing Post betting forecast to
come 'under starter's orders'. If a race is declared void the favourite will be
considered a Non−Runner. If a horse race is made a walkover by way of horses
withdrawing, 20 points will be awarded to the total.
If no price is available for a points' total then Dead Heat rules apply.
Winning bets must predict which named horse will achieve the best finishing position. Bets are settled on the Official Result (not “First Past The Post”). If both horses finish in the same position bets are void. If either horse is a Non Runner bets are void. In National Hunt (“Jumps”) Races a horse must complete the Race to win the Matchbet (unless otherwise stated).
Winning bets must predict the winning distance of a selected horse.
Markets may take two forms based on the scoring system.
Points Bands - for example, Black Jack Ketchum may be offered at 6/1 to win by between 0-2 lengths.
Over/Under - for example, Black Jack Ketchum may be offered at 9/4 to win by under 4 lengths.
If the market is opened before the day of the event and the selection does not run then all bets will be losers, unless otherwise stated.
In the event of non runner(s) resulting in a Rule 4 deduction of 15p in £ or more on early prices, unless specified otherwise, all bets will be void.
In the event of non runner(s) resulting in a Rule 4 deduction of 15p in £ or more on early prices, unless specified otherwise, all bets will be void.
All horses must come under starter's orders or bets are void. The horse that attains the highest Official Result finishing position is the winner (Tabgold.co.za). ”). If both horses finish in the same position bets are void. If either horse is a Non Runner bets are void. Our Double Result offer does not apply to this market.
Winning bets must predict the aggregate winning distances at
a specified meeting or meetings.
The maximum winning distance will be 12 lengths for Flat races and 30 lengths
for National Hunt races. In the case of a horse finishing alone or winning by a
'Distance' the distance will be settled as 12 lengths for a Flat race and 30
lengths in a National Hunt race.
For distances below a length the following distances will be applied:
Short head = 0.1 of a length
Head = 0.2 of a length
Neck = 0.3 of a length
Half a length = 0.5 of a length
Three quarters of a length = 0.85 of a length
If no official winning distance is declared Sportingbet will
use all available evidence to determine the distance.
No account shall be taken of any subsequent disqualification, enquiry or
amendment, unless the official distance is amended by the judge on the day of
the race. If a race is declared void distances will 2 lengths for Flat races and
10 lengths for National Hunt races.
If a race is made a walkover by horses withdrawing after the market is made,
distances will be 5 lengths for a Flat race or 12 lengths for National Hunt
races.
If no distance total is quoted then Dead Heat rules apply.
Winning bets must predict the winning distance of a selected
horse.
Markets may take two forms based on the scoring system.
Points Bands − for example, Black Jack Ketchum may be offered
at 6/1 to win by between 0−2 lengths
Over/Under − for example, Black Jack Ketchum may be offered at 9/4 to win by
under 4 lengths.
If the market is opened before the day of the event and the selection does not run then all bets will be losers, unless otherwise stated.
Winning bets must predict the level of performance exhibited
by a specified trainer or owner.
Markets may take two forms based on the scoring system.
Points' Bands − for example, Aidan O'Brien may be offered at
3/1 to score between 35−40 points.
Over/Under − for example, Paul Nicholls may be offered at 4/1 to score under 40
points.
In the event of an Owner/Trainer having more than one runner
in the race, the selected mount for the purposes of this bet is the horse
starting at the lowest price. If two or more mounts start at the same price,
stakes will be equally divided between the two horses.
That day's Racing Post will determine the Owner/Trainer of a horse. When
long−term markets are offered for a selected Owner or Trainer to own or train
the winner of a nominated horse race, it is the 'actual' owner and trainer
according to the Racing Post on the day of the event that counts.
Ante Post Rules apply unless otherwise stated.
When a race meeting is abandoned before it is completed the
following rules apply to bets placed on markets involving Points' Bands.
If the performance total at the time of abandonment falls in the bottom band
(e.g. 'Under 12 lengths' or 'Under 50' for performance), all bets in that market
are made void if the result could still have totalled any of the bands
originally offered.
If an abandoned meeting could not have made up in one or more bands, bets placed
in those bands are settled as losers, and bets placed in the possible bands are
settled as joint winners and are subject to Dead Heat rules dependent on the
number of possible winning bands.
If there is only one possible winning band then that is settled as an outright
winner. If the performance total at the time of abandonment falls in a middle
band (e.g. '12−15 lengths' or '50−65 for performance') all bets in lower bands
are settled as losers. Bets placed in that middle and higher bands are settled
as joint winners and are subject to Dead Heat rules.
Bets that cannot mathematically win at this point will be settled as losers. If
the performance total at time of abandonment falls in the top band (e.g. 'Over
15 lengths' or 'Over 65 for performance') all bets are settled with this band as
the winner and the others as losers, as the result has effectively been
determined.

If the offensive team fumbles the ball and the defensive team recovers the
fumble, but in turn fumbles the ball back to the original offensive team all in
the same play, due to change of possession on the play no first down has been
achieved.
In no way can a defensive team be awarded a first down. Any penalty resulting in
the offensive team being given a first down will be awarded as such.
Any offensive play negated by a penalty will be considered a 'No Play' and bets
made void (no action).
Winning bets must predict the number of plays before the next
first down is achieved.
If there is a penalty on a play that is accepted, the play will considered a 'No
Play' and the play will not count towards the total. This includes a penalty on
a play that would give the offensive team an automatic first down − this play
does not count and the bet will settled as of the last completed down played.
For example, if it is '1st and 10' and the defense causes a penalty that gives
the offensive team a first down then 'No 1st Down' will be settled as the
winner.
Winning bets must predict the outcome of a drive by the
offensive team with possession.
For the purposes this bet 'Others' comprises turnovers, turnovers on downs, end
of half or game, muffed punt and safety.
Winning bets must predict whether the player attempting a field goal is successful or not. This bet is only valid on a field goal attempt where the ball is actually kicked. Fake field goals, bad snaps, penalties or other plays that do not result in an attempted field goal will be deemed void (no action).
Winning bets must predict the outcome of a punt by the team
with possession.
If the ball is not punted because of a bad snap, a deliberate fake punt or a
penalty that nullifies the punt, the bet will be void (no action).
A 'Fair Catch' must be signalled as such and the catch made. A 'Run' is any
attempt to return the ball in the hands of the team receiving the punt and also
includes an on−side kick. 'OOB' (out of bounds) is classified as any area where
the ball crosses outside of the sidelines of the field of play. 'Downed' is
classified if the ball ceases to move on its own or is downed by the kicking
team touching the ball before the receiving team. 'Blocked' is classified if the
receiving team succeeds in blocking the punt and the ball is touched behind the
line of scrimmage.
If the kicked ball, despite being touched by the receiving team, nonetheless
crosses the line of scrimmage on its own impetus, it is considered to have been
partially blocked and the same rules apply as if it had not been blocked.
Winning bets must predict the outcome of the kickoff.
If a ball is not kicked off because of a penalty that nullifies the play, the
bet will be void (no action). A 'Touchback' will only occur if it is awarded as
such by the officials. 'OOB' is classified as any area where the ball crosses
outside of the sidelines of the field of play.
Winning bets must predict the winner of the Superbowl,
Conference or Division.
If the regular NFL season is not completed, bets on these markets are void (no
action). Bets on Division winners will stand providing the Divisions are
completed.
Customers can place a multiple (parlay) on the Handicap
(point spread or side) and Total Points in the same game of all American
Football games (unless circled). Customers can also place a multiple on (parlay)
the Match Prices (Moneyline) and the Total Points in the same game of all
American Football games (unless circled).
Customers cannot, however, place a multiple on (parlay) the Handicap (point
spread or side) and the Match Prices (Moneyline) in the same game.
Customers cannot place multiples (parlay or tease) on the first half of a game
with the outcome of the full game.
Buying or selling points allows you the ability to change the
Handicap (point spread or side) or Total Points value for a game.
Customers can move the Handicap (point spread or side) so that they receive more
points if they are betting on the underdog or giveaway less points if they are
betting on the favourite.
For each half−point that they change the Handicap (point spread or side) value,
they will need to deduct an amount off the price offered. On the other hand, the
price will be greater for giving up extra half points.
A Teaser is a selection of two or more teams in one bet in
which the Handicap (point spread or side) or Total Points is adjusted in favour
of the bettor.
Customers can make selections from both American Football and Basketball. The
number of teams selected and the size of the adjusted points values determines
the payout odds. A Tie (no action) and a Win on a two−team teaser shall be a
void (no action). A Tie (no action) and a Loss on a two−team teaser shall be a
losing bet. Ties on a three−or−more team teaser shall revert to the next lowest
betting bracket. For example, any Tie in a three−team teaser will mean that the
bet becomes a two−team teaser.
The Teaser payout table is as follows:
